Two bodies of rule matter more than any other: the licensing framework governing who may practise medicine in Indonesia, and Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, which governs how personal data is handled. Medical practice here is restricted to practitioners holding valid registration and a practice licence, which means your product can support a consultation but cannot be one.
Most ventures must also settle company structure, decide where data lives and who may access it, and write consent language a patient can understand. Is HealthTech Bali an investor or a service provider?
We are a service provider, not an investor. The incubator track delivers information, structuring, and coordination work paid for by the venture, and we do not take equity as payment for participation. Where a founder wants capital introductions, that is a separate conversation with its own terms, and we make no promise that any introduction leads to funding.
Do I need to be physically in Bali to join the programme?
Not for the early stages, which run over calls and written work. Pilot coordination is different: once a pilot involves a real facility and real staff, someone from your team usually needs to be on the island. Bali runs on WITA, which is UTC+8, so plan call windows around that if your team sits in Europe or the Americas.
Can the accelerator handle my licensing and company setup for me?
